Dean Trust Celebrates Exceptional Primary SATs Success

Pupils and staff across The Dean Trust’s primary schools are celebrating an impressive set of 2026 Key Stage 2 results, reflecting their ambition, resilience and hard work.

Across the Trust, 67% of pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics, compared with 62% nationally.

At Blacklow Brow School in Huyton, every Year 6 pupil achieved the expected standard in both reading and mathematics. Park View Academy also delivered an impressive performance, with mathematics proving a particular strength.

Forest Gate Academy in Partington secured strong outcomes across the curriculum and made significant improvements on the previous year. Pupils at Partington Central Academy also made considerable progress throughout the academic year, performing particularly strongly in mathematics.

At Abraham Moss Community School in Crumpsall, pupils achieved excellent outcomes in writing, including at the higher standard.

Damian Kenny, Director of Primary Standards at The Dean Trust, said: “We are incredibly proud of every pupil who contributed to these results. Their achievements are richly deserved; they approached their SATs with maturity, confidence and determination.

“These results also reflect the skill and commitment of our teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders, together with the invaluable encouragement and support of parents, carers and governors.

“Our staff know their pupils exceptionally well and work tirelessly to provide the support, encouragement and challenge that enable every child to succeed, regardless of their background or starting point.

“While the headline outcomes are extremely positive, our greatest success is seeing children leave primary school as confident, capable and ambitious young people who are ready for the next stage of their education.”

Jane O’Brien, Chief Executive of The Dean Trust, added: “Every school has achievements to celebrate, reflecting the high-quality education provided across the Trust. These results provide a strong foundation for the future and underline the Trust’s determination to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

“We will build on this success through collaboration between our schools, sharing best practice and maintaining high expectations for every pupil.”
